PIXELTEQ BuildingUpgrade to clean-room and production capacity underway to support OEM business
Largo, Fla. (January 31, 2014) – PIXELTEQ has begun construction at its Largo, Florida facility to accommodate the growth in its innovative OEM spectral sensor and micro-patterned filter business. The multi-million dollar investment provides clean-room upgrades and additional capacity for wafer-level optical coating and patterning, building on PIXELTEQ’s patented micro-patterning technology for optical filters and sensors.

“Clients are using our PixelSensor™ multispectral sensors to detect and quantify problems in more portable application-specific devices,” explained Randel Mercer, Vice President of Business Development. “As next-generation sensors migrate to smaller devices and pixels with higher resolutions, the precision and cleanliness of optical coatings becomes more critical. This upgrade combines state-of-the-art processes with manufacturing capacity to serve growing OEM clients who need to scale miniaturized spectral sensors and wafer-level optics to volume production.”
